Ten Reasons I Love My 16 Month Old

Even Megan wants to cling to her babyness.

Yet another month flies by and I'm left wondering where the time went!

1. Whenever I say "Joe Pop's!", she responds "pop pop pop pop pop". She just started this yesterday. It is the name of a restaurant and apparently, it's a lot of fun to say. It's very cute too!

2. She just loves to read book after book. Lately, she will sit through two or three of them before squirming. I'll post about her current favorites in a separate post. It's so cute how she brings me books and we sit in the big chair together and read.

3. If I put her down next to me in a public place and tell her to stay, she normally stays right where I tell her to. All the while, holding on to my shirt tail or pant leg. I love that we are building this trust.

4. She is saying Thank You (tit too) now with out my prompting her most of the time. And please too. Especially for cookies (ki-ki).

5. When I ask her what a lizard does, she sticks her tongue out and in just like a little lizard. So cute!

6. She is so affectionate now. If I ask for a hug, I get hugs, kisses and tons of cuddling.

7. She is picking out letters and numbers from a pile of foam letters when I request them. Her favorites are B, P, T, O, Y, A, G, 1 and 9. Also, if she sees a letter B anywhere, she'll start yelling "B!! B!!! B!!!!"

8. She shares toys and food with other babies and kids.

9. She loves to sing along with the radio. Her favorites include ballads and pop music. She has also been known to rock out to AC/DC and Aerosmith.

10. She dances with happy feet. If we say "Happy Feet, Megan!" She starts stomping her feet really fast, in place. Much like the penguin in Happy Feet. Add a little bit of butt action and a stomp here and there and it's quite the adorable show!

11. She loves to have her teeth brushed and walk around pretending to brush her teeth. And while she's grooming, she loves to brush her own hair, imitate me putting lotion on her legs and putting a bow in her hair.
