Dear Daddy

I love my water table, really I do!!

But I tried to swim in it an couldn't quite get in.

So I tried the lid to my water table. Mommy filled it up for me. It was a little cold...

So I thought maybe diving right in would make it easier. Mommy had to stop me.

So what is a girl to do, Daddy??? Maybe it's time to blow up my baby pool??

The Bookstore

We love the bookstore! Mommy gets a Starbucks Coffee for herself, Megan gets a muffin or some scone. Then I let her loose in the kids section where she's allowed to pull books off the shelf and play with the toys and climb up on the little stage they use for story time. Someday I'll make it for story time, but until then, this will do.

Notice there are no other kids in the vicinity of these pics? Megan wrecked the train for a 4 year old boy just minutes before and he ran off crying to his Mommy. She told him he had to share. Poor kid.

15 Month Well Visit

Here are the stats:

Weight: 23 lbs, 12 oz. (was 22 lbs 3 ozs @ 12 months)
Height: 30.75 inches (was 29.75 @ 12 months)
Head: 18.1 inches (was 17.5 @ 12 months)

I have to say I was very shocked at how little she gained considering how her clothing is fitting these days. It must be the gain in height.

She got the MMR vaccine, the HepA is still back-ordered. Megan took the shot in the arm like a champ. She didn't cry, but just gave the nurse the cutest little pout. When I opened the door to the exam room, Megan shot out of there and all they way through two hallways and to the front door like a bat out of hell. This is our first time in that office, so I was surprised she knew the way out!

Pedi said she is doing very well. Her molars are just about ready to begin pushing through. She said I could give Megan a vitamin (I already have been) because she is picky about veggies and meats. And I can offer eggs and peanut butter now, but not shellfish.

Aquarium Adventures

We visited the Aquarium today and Megan was loving every minute of it. She loved seeing the fffffff's (fishies) and the todo (turtles). This was a great outing for today because it was HOT (93) and very humid today, so it was nice to be in the cool air with the sharks.

Today is also Megan's Monthday. She is 15 months old today!!

12 Things I Love About My 15-Month Old

This adorable way of chronicling Miss Megan's doings comes courtesy of our friends from the Mom Board I visit. Thank you Cindy and Meghan.

1. I love the way she dances. It's a little sumo-wrestler-gone-hoe-down with a head twist and butt wiggle. SO cute.

2. I love how every night, when I say it's time for bed, she says "nigh night!", blows Daddy a kiss, puts her head on my shoulder and starts humming Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.

3. When we're out and about, she has this little laugh that she gives everyone she encounters. "hehehehehehehe" And without fail, everyone laughs and comments. Such a ham!

4. I love to watch her play with her Little People Family. She pretends that the Mama is kissing the baby or giving her a 'baba' or that the Dada is kissing the Mama. Complete with kissy sounds.

5. I love how she'll be all lovey dovey affectionate one second and then take advantage of the closeness to lick me or give me a raspberry on my face. And then she collapses in a fit of giggles!

6. I love the little lilt in her voice when she repeats words. The end of words "tilt" upward, almost as if she's asking a question.

7. I love when we ask her "Who's Pretty?", she starts stroking her head as if to say "Me, dahling!"

8. I love how she holds the remote control to her ear pretends it's a phone and talks into it.

9. I love how she smells after a bath. And how her skin is so soft.

10. I love how she finishes the "This Little Piggy" game by saying "weee weee weee!" (all the way home).

11. When we are out and I tell her we're going home, she immediately responds with "Dada?" As if to say "We're going to see Dada?". Likewise, when we pull into the garage, she waits and watches the garage door to see if "Dada" is coming out to fetch her from her carseat whispering "dada dada dada" the entire time.

12. And finally, when I say, Megan we're going out now. She screams "Bah bye?!?!?!" and runs around getting her shoes and her bag ready and meets me by the gate. This kid LOVES to go out!
