Mommy's Little Helper

Every time I open the fridge, it's like Megan has radar and suddenly she's there trying to peer in and see what's inside. Today I had it open for a minute to get Christmas cookie ingredients and since she had to be there, I let her explore the bottom drawer. I asked her for the eggs, but she just giggled at the bag of nuts.

Guess who's in with the Big Guy??

We visited a local Children's Garden on Saturaday night. It was Megan's first Christmas light display (other than the Target displays! lol) Mommy and Daddy had fun hiding behind the light displays and popping out to say Boo! Megan giggled at our antics. She was mesmerized by the train which was chugging along giving rides to other park goers. She also loved the pretty carousel which featured sharks, roosters and rabbits. But her all time favorite had to be her visit with The Big Guy. Yep, Santa! She giggled as soon as she was plopped on his lap. And boy did she want to pull on his beard. But Santa was smart. He held her hands down. I wonder if Santa thought she was Rudolph's sister? Her nose was SO red from being out in the cold.

After the light display, we went to dinner in this neat revitalized town. We settled on a gourmet Mexican restaurant (if that makes sense). It was SO nice to go out to dinner to a real restaurant with real meals. Megan did very well and only left 20 cheerios on the floor. I was fortunate enough to eat filet mignon and shrimp with Mexican sauces and rice with veggies. It was delicious! We would have stayed for dessert, but we figured we shouldn't press our luck...

Timmy

Megan has a new friend. His name is Timmy and he and his Mommy were visiting from FL last week. I enjoyed meeting my OOF friend and hope that she and I can visit again next time she's in my area. Especially if we can go back to Panera. Megan and Timmy shared Cheerios. See, it's not only M&M's that make friends...

Incidentally, the fire alarm went off during our lunch and no one in the restaurant batted an eye. They just continued to eat their lunch as if nothing was going on around them. Is Panera lunch so good that the world around them just melts away???

It's SNOW Good!!!

It snowed about 3/4 of an inch on December 5th. It was our first snow of the season and Megan's first snow EVER. I think she liked it.

Hmmm, what's this stuff?

Kinda wet, kinda cold...

It's funny! I like it!!

I think I'll eat it!
(disclaimer: Yellow snow was not used in the making of this photo story)

What Is This Turkey Stuff?!?!?

Megan's first Thanksgiving was an interesting experience for her. She was none too thrilled with her first taste of turkey and she wasn't impressed with mashed potatoes either. She did love cranberry sauce though! We ended up give her good old sweet potatoes and oatmeal like she normally does. Afterwards, she played maracas and piano like an old pro!

First Tooth!

Megan cut her first tooth on Monday, November 19. She woke up crying and cried for an hour straight which is very unusual for her. But the next day she was happy as a clam and when I checked her mouth, there was the tip of a little tooth poking through. Here is the tooth over a week later. Pretty cute!I do believe there is another tooth right next to it, but it's not as prominent as this one. And Megan won't let me check long enough to find out.

Uh-Oh!!

This week Megan started pulling up....on EVERYTHING. She's fallen a handful of times and I've had to kiss many boo-boos. Mostly on her forehead. Poor thing!!!
