Adventure Aquarium
We visited the aquarium today with our friends Jammie, Magen and Sarah. What a big difference from last year's aquarium trip! This time Megan paid attention to her surroundings and was mesmerized by the "pishies" in the tanks. She even pet the rays in the fish petting area.

A lot different from last year's pic inside the same shark's mouth.

Penguins!

Funny story about this hippo... He was this close to the glass and swam back and forth while remaining this close. He looked like he had enjoyed the attention. Well, he then turned around with his hiney to the glass and pooped!! The crowd was laughing an ew-ing at the same time. Megan laughed. When it was time to move on to the next room, Megan resisted. She said, "No! I wait for pippo to come back and poop again!"

Doesn't she look like a little mermaid?

Mall Fun
We visited with Papa and Babi today and they took us to their mall. If we had a mall like this near us, Mommy would be shopping a little more. Thanks goodness we don't!! The mall had a playground for toddlers, a carousel, train and those funny motorized giant stuffed animals. Daddy liked those too! (hee hee) Afterwards, we had dinner and went out for ice cream. What a wonderful day!

That's for Wittle Babies!
Just a couple of cute little funnies Miss Megs comes out with now.
Whenever I tell her that she's too big for something, usually one of her old infant toys or something I just don't want her to have, she says, "Yeah, Mama. Dat's for wittle babies."
She calls herself "May-may".
Whenever she wants me to hold her, she stretches out her arms and says, "Mama, I hold you!"
When she goes swimming, she wears a "Baby toot."
But the cutest has to be when she's playing with her Little People or stuffed animals and she pretends one of the is crying. She makes a crying sound. When I ask her if she's crying, she says "No, no, Mama! Not crying. I YAWNING!" And she proceeds to make the yawning sound.
Silly May-may!

New Shoes
I really need to start blogging all the adorable little things Megan does on a daily basis. Sometimes she cracks me up and sometimes she amazes me. Every night I have something to tell Jeff when he comes home.
Today, Megan received a package with new converse sneakers. She loves new shoes and could no wait to get them on. She even went and grabbed a pair of socks for the occasion. Once they were both on and tied, she walked around a bit and gave them a test run. After a while, she came back to me and said, "I like my new shoes, Mama. Thank you, Mama!"
Oh, how that made me melt on the spot! She is just so sweet and adorable. How could not have melted???
The other day we were at the drive-thru waiting for nuggets. The wall next to the car had molding attached to it in arched shapes. Megan piped up from the backseat.
"Yook, mama, dat a M!"
When I looked, I saw that in a very abstract way, she was seeing how the molding made an M. Then she said, "And dat a V." Sure enough, the molding was in another spot was in a V shape. I was very proud.

Discovery Museum
My friend and I took Megan and Michael to the Discovery Museum today. They had so much fun! It really is a great place for toddlers to just run around.
The ball here "floats" over the air vent. Michael was trying to figure this one out.

These giant bubbles were so cool!

A little smooching break....but Megan turned away at the last second and giggled. That's my girl!

They spent the most time in the diner. They loved playing in the kitchen with the play food and serving it to us out at the counter. The diner was a small scale replica of a popular local diner.

Company Picnic
We went to Jeff's company picnic yesterday. What a fun day! There were so many things to do. The adults had volleyball, boats in the lake, swimming and even an appearance from The Nerds, a band very popular on the Jersey Shore (or so I hear). Wherever they were from, they were awesome. Every song they played was either danceable, singable or air-guitar worthy.
I think Megan had the best time of all, though. She must have played on the pirate ship playground going down the slide about 100 times. She went swimming, played in the sandbox, ate free ice cream and her most favorite....the Bouncy House!! She has not stopped talking about how she went in the bouncy house 2 times.
"I go in the bouncy house and bounce! bounce! bounce! and I go on the slide and the pool and the sand!" (yes, it's all one sentence).
I told Jeff his company needs to have a picnic for us every weekend! ;)
