We are on day 2 of our 90 degree heat wave. Perfect ice cream weather! We headed over to Rita's this afternoon to get Megs "eye beam" with "coco" (sprinkles). Here she tells us at the end of the video that she's too busy to say goodbye.

Rainy Day Egg Hunt
We had been looking forward to this Egg Hunt for weeks and were so sad when we woke up and it was pouring out. But by 11am, the rain had turned to a sprinkle and the Hunt was on!
When is the Bunny going to start this shindig?

Go!

It's getting kind of cold!

Thanks Easter Bunny!

Where did her go? He was just here!

Aha! Found him.

Egg hunting is hard work. A cupcake is in order!

Eggs According to Megan
Megan has become an expert Easter Egg Dyer and Decorator. Here are her instructions....
Step 1. Bunny ears. It is very important to look the part of the Bunny. (And I happen to look really cute in them, no? )

Step 2. Patience is very important while the eggs "colorize". Sometimes it's fun to plunk two or three in a cup (but I had a tough time convincing Mommy of that).

Step 3. Cheer for yourself! This helps the eggs dry quicker.
Step 4. Decorate eggs. (we found out later that the crayon goes on before you dye the eggs. Good going, Mom! Ever heard of instructions?) Take your time with this step because after this it's all over. Throw tantrum if Mom tries to clean up early.

Viola! Beautiful dyed eggs!

Easter Bunny Hayride
Megan went to the Easter Bunny's house today. She caught a hayride and bumped her way to his house. She collected eggs in his yard and played with the giant hay bale rabbit. Then it was time to say hi to the Bunny. Oh, the joy in her face when she saw him! She kept exclaiming "Bun-ye, yeah!!" and tried to push her way to the front of the line. And she did a little bouncy dance in anticipation. Since the other kids were afraid of the Bunny, Megan was able to grab two turns on his lap. Lucky girl!

All smiles for the Bunny. And a little kiss too!
